We have the first details about the all-new Kia Magentis, a.k.a. the Optima, set for an April introduction. The story and teaser image inside.

The third generation Kia Magentis will get its debut at the New York International Auto Show.  The car, sold in the U.S. as the Kia Optima and in Korea as the Lorentz, will go on sale this fall in America and in Europe in Spring 2011.

Despite the introduction in the U.S., it appears that the Optima name will still be used in the American market.

Look for the all-new Magentis to get more aggressive styling, integrated daytime lights, and a potentially shorter roofline.  Aside from this, Kia says the new model will be longer, with an extended wheelbase, and also wider.  The company says this will provide much more space for cargo and passengers.

The all-new Kia Magentis will debut on April 2.
