Mercedes has released detailed information about the redesigned 2010 E 63 AMG Estate.

Power comes from a 6.3-liter V8 engine (it's really 6208 cc) that produces 386 kW (525 hp) and 630 Nm of torque. Backed up by a seven-speed 'Speedshift MCT' automatic transmission, the E 63 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). In terms of efficiency, the engine consumes 12.8L/100km (18.4 mpg) in combined cycle, while emitting 299 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

Other performance features include a sports suspension (with electronic damping and a new front axle), an AMG DRIVE UNIT (offers four different transmission settings - Controlled Efficiency, Sport, Sport Plus and Manual), a new speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering system, and a 3-stage electronic stability control system (ESP). Mercedes also offers a locking rear differential and a high-performance ceramic composite braking system.

The exterior boasts an aggressive AMG body kit, LED daytime running lights, a rear diffuser, a four-tailpipe exhaust system, and 18-inch titanium grey wheels (19-inchers are optional).

Like the standard E-Class Estate, the E 63 can hold up to 1,950 liters (68.9 cubic feet) of luggage. The wagon also features an 'easy-pack' automatic tailgate, 'quickfold' rear seats, and a load compartment cover.

To give it a sport-luxury feel, Mercedes outfitted the interior with a sports steering wheel (with aluminum shift paddles), an E-SELECT gear lever, leather upholstery, an AMG instrument cluster, and brushed stainless steel pedals. Options include carbon fiber trim, nappa leather/Alcantara upholstery, KEYLESS-GO, a rearview camera, and a premium audio system.

The E 63 AMG Estate will be launched in February 2010, with German prices starting at €108,409 (incl. 19% VAT).
