Bling has never been this glaring. This Audi R8 V10 was on display at the 2009 IAA and required visitors to wear sunglasses. Imagine if it actually got out into the sunlight.

It seems nowadays chrome on the wheels is not enough. The stuff has moved into all sorts of places and in this example it spread to the exterior like a wildfire. The car is the Audi R8 V10 with a 386kW (525hp) naturally aspirated 5.2-litre FSI engine. They say it will cover 0 - 100km/h in 3.9 seconds but they probably didn't count on all this heavy bling covering things up.

Apart from the extra weight, how practical would it be to put this on the road? Consider the shiny sun in most parts of the world, or the glaring headlights at night. Forget using it as a getaway car; any orbiting satellite would probably pick it up in an instant.
