As night fell in Monaco, F1 teams and Max Mosley emerged from a long meeting over the sport's current crisis.

The meeting, held at the Automobile Club de Monaco located not far from the famous Swimming Pool section, followed another three-hour meeting of the FOTA team alliance on Flavio Briatore's moored superyacht.

Afterwards, FIA president Mosley said he was "hopeful" an agreement will eventually be reached, but FOTA chairman Luca di Montezemolo also reported to the press that the solution was not found on Friday.

"We had a very long, productive meeting," said the Ferrari president. "FOTA will have another meeting tomorrow to discuss and then we will meet Mosley again."
