We bring you the advanced snapshots of the Dacia Sandero Stepway. 12 pictures of tomorrow's debut, all which look very similar to a model sold in Brazil.
Dacia is about to launch their first SUV in the company's 43 year history. The Dacia Sandero Stepway is expected to appear at Auto Salon Barcelona when doors open to the press tomorrow. The pictures that you see above come from an astute Automarket photographer, who took covert snaps while Dacia was running a test of their video presentation. The real vehicle is still under the tarp.
The sharp eyed readers in our audience will probably notice the similarities between this, and the Brazilian market's Renault Sandero Stepway. That vehicle debuted last year. This vehicle has different bumpers, but otherwise looks almost identical. The bumpers may be different, to ensure that the car conforms to European pedestrian safety laws. Still, Automarket says the SUV will not merely be a relaunch of the Brazilian model.
It was recently speculated that the Dacia Duster SUV Concept which recently premiered in Geneva was going to be the first SUV to wear a Dacia badge. Clearly that is false. However, the production version of the Duster, which has been reported to emulate the Nissan Qashqai in size and componentry, puts a newly emerging Dacia SUV range into perspective. Ironically, the two SUV models will have no connection to each other.
The all-new Dacia Sandero Stepway will get its introduction at noon tomorrow in the heart of Catalunya.
