Trying to keep things fresh on the S and CL-Class before those models move onto their next generation, Mercedes has announced an AMG sport package for both.
The toy set includes AMG's own 19-inch light-alloy wheels in a 5-spoke design with 255/40 and 275/40 front and rear tires, respectively. 20-inch wheels are also an option, coming in a twin-spoke design and fitted with 255/35 and 275/35 tires instead. Behind the wheels are the new perforated brake discs with silver brake calipers and marked by Mercedes-Benz lettering.
On the exterior, the AMG package also includes a front apron with large air intakes and a rear skirt sporting rectangular, stainless-steel exhaust pipes fitted into the integrated black insert.
On the inside of the cabin is a complimentary wood and leather finish, a combination also used on the black ash steering wheel. Velor floor mats with AMG lettering is also included as are the stainless-steel sports pedals with rubber studs.
The AMG package is available for both the standard S-Class and the long wheelbase version, as well as on the CL 500, CL 500 4MATIC, the new E-Class Coupe, E-Class saloon/sedan and the C-Class models too. Starting price is 5831 euros, with the fully-optioned package coming in at 7973 euros in Germany.
The AMG sport package for those models will be available starting in June.
