Add the Acura NSX and Dodge Viper ACR to your virtual Forza Horizon 3 and pretty soon you'll be able to drive them on snow.
Just in time for winter (in some parts of the world), Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft have announced the third installment in the Forza Horizon franchise will receive an add-on before the year’s end allowing players to race on snowy roads. Let’s not forget that FH3 takes place in Australia where winter begins in June and ends in August, but who said video games should echo the real world? It remains to be seen whether the entire map will get the snowy treatment or only just sections of it.
Pricing isn’t out yet, but there’s an Expansion Pass available for $34.99 bundling the upcoming snow pack and an unreleased one due to arrive later for the best-selling racing game of 2016. Ultimate Edition owners are going to take advantage of a $10 discount, but they’ll have to hurry taking into account the offer will be available only until the end of the year.
In related news, the recently announced Alpinestars Car Pack is already available and serves as the third car pack for the game. It adds a total of seven models to the continuously growing virtual garage, including the 1990 Mazda RX-7 and a 1998 Nissan Silvia, which according to the game’s developer were two of the most requested cars in the Forza community.
Buying the third car pack for FH3 will also give you the chance to drive the Ford Falcon XR GT as well as the Dodge Viper ACR, while the limited-edition BMW M4 GTS and the second-gen Acura NSX are also joining the lineup to provide more variety. For something entirely different, a Talbot Lotus Sunbeam is part of the deal as well should you want to try out a late 1970s hot hatch.
The Alpinestars Car Pack is included in the $30 Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass, but gamers can also acquire it separately for $7 in the Xbox Store.
