This crossover can't make the jump to hyperspace to avoid a battle between some of Star Wars' iconic machines.

Nissan’s new commercial aims to prove that the Rogue could stand up to a battle in a galaxy far, far away by putting the crossover in the middle of a fight between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire. The ad shows off the driver safety tech available on the CUV while simultaneously promoting Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ahead of the premiere on December 16 in the United States. A 30-second version of the television ad premieres on October 31, and there’s also a 60-second cut for theaters.

The commercial includes glimpses of some of your favorite machines from Star Wars. For example, TIE Fighters and X-Wings do battle in the air while AT-STs trample across the ground. There’s even a look at this movie’s AT-ACT, which is the cargo version of the famous quadrupedal walker from The Empire Strikes Back.

If fans see this ad, watches Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and still wants more, Nissan is also introducing the 2017 Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition at the Los Angeles Auto Show in late November. The company isn’t revealing the special crossover yet other than its badge, but buyers get a full-sized-replica of the black Death Trooper with each one.  The Star Wars-inspired Rogue likely wears other styling elements from the science-fiction franchise, too.

Nissan is among five brands that are working with LucasFilm for promoting the latest Star Wars film, including  Duracell, General Mills, Gillette, and Verizon. Rogue One tells the tale of the rag-tag team that steals the Death Star plans. The event is a key part of the franchise’s lore because it allows the destruction of the giant space station to happen at the climax of Episode 4. After the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens last year, this film could be another blockbuster for the franchise this year.
