The German tuning company takes on Bentley’s luxurious SUV.
When you think Bentley, you think refinement, beauty, luxury. Tuning company Mansory, however, has given the Bentley Bentayga a look that’s more Fast and Furious than English country manor. The new Mansory Bentayga will make its public debut at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in November, before being made available to buyers globally.
The starting point for the Mansory treatment is an assortment of carbon fiber pieces for the Bentayga’s nose, with a sporty lower splitter and even more pronounced air intakes in the front fascia. Big side skirts and fender flares make the big Bentayga appear even wider than normal, while out back a giant wing perches atop the liftgate. Other carbon fiber trim adorns the new lower fascia, with Mansory’s new sports exhaust system poking out. New 23-inch wheels (22s are optional) sit at each corner, and just for good measure, there’s an extra carbon fiber lip spoiler mounted just below the rear window.
Lest you think Mansory’s meddling is limited to the exterior, the company has also renovated the entire cabin. A newly designed airbag, for instance, goes along with new pedals, new leather upholstery, and various other Mansory-labeled add-ons. The new exhaust and new engine programming bumps output from the 6.0-liter biturbocharged W12 engine to a claimed 691 horsepower (515 kilowatts) and 773 pound-feet (1050 nm) of torque, up from 600 hp and 664 lb-ft in the standard car.
Beauty is, as always, in the eye of the beholder, and we don’t doubt Mansory will shortly have orders for buyers who want to dress their Bentayga in this new look. If you’re still on the fence, you can take a closer look at the Mansory-ified Bentayga next month at SEMA in Las Vegas.
